Having spoken thus, the tiger among kings stood his ground, roaring in unrestrained wrath, ready for battle. Then the assembled kings said, “We shall depart to our own realms; you ought to grant us leave.” Hearing the words of those rulers, Dharma-king Yudhiṣṭhira duly honored those venerable monarchs and addressed his brothers: “These kings came to us in goodwill. Now, those mighty lords, having asked my permission, are prepared to return to their kingdoms. May it be well with you—escort these excellent rulers respectfully up to the borders of your realm.”
