इच्छतां भूमिपालानां भीष्म जीवस्यसंशयम् | लोकविद्धिष्टकर्मा हि नान्यो5स्ति भवता सम:,भीष्म! निःसंदेह तुम्हारा जीवन इन राजाओंकी इच्छासे ही बचा हुआ है; क्योंकि तुम्हारे समान दूसरा कोई राजा ऐसा नहीं है, जिसके कर्म सम्पूर्ण जगतसे द्वेष करनेवाले हों
Transliteration
icchatāṁ bhūmipālānāṁ bhīṣma jīvasy asaṁśayam | lokaviddhiṣṭakarmā hi nānyo 'sti bhavatā samaḥ, bhīṣma ||
Translation
Śiśupāla said: “O Bhīṣma, without doubt your life has been spared only because these kings have wished it so. For there is no other ruler equal to you—your deeds are notorious to the whole world, marked by hostility toward all.”
