जनमेजय! उस समय वहाँ समस्त क्षत्रियोंका सम्मेलन देखकर मुनिवर नारदजी सहसा चिन्तित हो उठे
janamejaya! tadā tatra samastakṣatriyāṇāṁ samāgamaṁ dṛṣṭvā munivaro nāradaḥ sahasā cintito ’bhavat
Vaiśampāyana said: “O Janamejaya, at that time, seeing there the great assembly of all the kṣatriyas gathered together, the sage Nārada was suddenly seized by anxious reflection.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A wise person reads the moral and political signs of the time: when power gathers in one place amid rivalry, the potential for adharma and conflict increases, and vigilance becomes a duty.
Vaiśampāyana tells Janamejaya that Nārada, seeing a large congregation of kṣatriya rulers, becomes suddenly concerned—suggesting he anticipates serious consequences arising from this convergence of royal forces.
