Adhyāya 32: Rājasūya-Dīkṣā and Appointment of Court Offices (राजसूयदीक्षा तथा अधिकारविनियोगः)
स तेन सत्कृतो राज्ञा सत्काराहों विशाम्पते
sa tena satkṛto rājñā satkārārho viśāmpate
Thus, being duly honored by the king—honor that he rightly deserved, O lord of the people—he was received with fitting respect.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Those who are worthy (arha) should be met with appropriate honor (satkāra). For a king, such recognition is part of rājadharma—maintaining propriety, rewarding merit, and setting an ethical example in public conduct.
Vaiśampāyana reports that a certain person was respectfully received and honored by the king, and that this honor was fitting because the person deserved it. The line functions as a brief narrative transition emphasizing proper reception at court.
