कि कुर्म: पुरुषव्याप्र शाधि न: प्रणतिस्थितान् । कृतमित्येव तद् विद्धि नृपैर्यद्यपि दुष्करम्,'पुरुषसिंह! हम आपके चरणोंमें पड़े हैं। आप हमें आज्ञा दीजिये, हम क्या सेवा करें? कोई दुष्कर कार्य हो तो भी आपको यह समझना चाहिये मानो हम सब राजाओंने मिलकर उसे पूर्ण कर ही दिया”
kiṁ kurmaḥ puruṣavyāghra śādhi naḥ praṇatisthitān | kṛtam ity eva tad viddhi nṛpair yady api duṣkaram ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “O tiger among men, we are bowed down before you—command us what we should do. Even if the task be difficult for kings, you should regard it as already accomplished, as though all of us rulers together have fulfilled it.”
