अस्मांस्तदेनो गच्छेद्धि कृत॑ बार्हद्रथ त्वया । वयं हि शक्ता धर्मस्य रक्षणे धर्मचारिण:,बृहद्रथकुमार! तुम्हारे द्वारा किया हुआ यह पाप हम सब लोगोंपर लागू होगा; क्योंकि हम धर्मकी रक्षा करनेमें समर्थ और धर्मका पालन करनेवाले हैं

Transliteration

asmāṁs tad eno gacched dhi kṛtaṁ bārhadratha tvayā | vayaṁ hi śaktā dharmasya rakṣaṇe dharmacāriṇaḥ, bṛhadrathakumāra |

Translation

O son of Bṛhadratha, the sin of this deed you commit would indeed fall upon us as well. For we are capable of safeguarding dharma, and we are those who live by dharma; therefore we cannot stand by while wrongdoing is done in our presence.
