Unchecked political power grounded in fear can uproot entire communities; a righteous ruler’s dharma includes providing protection so that people are not forced into exile by tyranny.
Kṛṣṇa reports that eighteen Bhoja clans living in the north, terrified of Jarāsandha’s dominance, abandoned their homes and resettled in the west, illustrating Jarāsandha’s oppressive reach.
