Vaiśampāyana said: After resting there for some time, Maya—renowned among the Daityas as “Viśvakarman,” the master craftsman—reflected carefully and then began making preparations to build an assembly hall for the great-souled Pāṇḍavas.

Educational Q&A

Deliberation (vicāra) before action and the proper use of expertise are presented as supports to dharmic rule: great works meant for public order—like a royal sabhā—should arise from thoughtful planning rather than impulse.

After a period of rest, Mayāsura—famed as a supreme artisan—decides to undertake the construction of an assembly hall for the Pāṇḍavas and begins the preparations to build it.
