तथोकत्वा मुनयस्ते तु ततः केशवमभ्ययु: । अथाब्रवीत् तदा वृष्णीन् श्र॒त्वैवं मधुसूदन:,ऐसा कहकर वे मुनि भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके पास चले गये। (वहाँ उन्होंने उनसे सारी बातें कह सुनायीं।) यह सब सुनकर भगवान् मधुसूदनने वृष्णिवंशियोंसे कहा--
tathoktvā munayas te tu tataḥ keśavam abhyayuḥ | athābravīt tadā vṛṣṇīn śrutvaivaṁ madhusūdanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “Having spoken thus, those sages then went to Keśava. After hearing everything in that manner, Madhusūdana addressed the Vṛṣṇis.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Speech and counsel from the wise can function as a moral warning: when sages convey a grave message, responsible leadership requires attentive hearing and timely guidance to one’s community, especially when collective conduct is at stake.
After delivering their statement, the sages go to Kṛṣṇa (Keśava). Kṛṣṇa hears their report and then turns to address the Vṛṣṇi clan, preparing to respond to the situation that has arisen for his own people.
