Vaiśampāyana said: “In the same way, the eternal Lord Viṣṇu is also celebrated here as the divine one. Therefore, a person who studies this becomes happy and attains the fulfillment of desired aims. Such is the honored and sacred potency of the revered utterance of the great sage Vyāsa.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse functions as a phalaśruti: it affirms that glorifying the eternal Lord Viṣṇu (identified with Kṛṣṇa) and engaging in svādhyāya of this revered teaching brings happiness and the attainment of one’s rightful aims, emphasizing the sanctity and efficacy of Vyāsa’s authoritative word.
Vaiśampāyana concludes a section by praising the divinity celebrated within it—Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa—and by stating the beneficial result of reciting or studying these words, attributing their power to the revered speech of the great sage Vyāsa.
