संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! जब कर्ण मारा गया और शत्रुसेना भाग चली, तब दशाहईनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुनको हृदयसे लगाकर बड़े हर्षके साथ इस प्रकार बोले --
sañjaya uvāca—rājan! yadā karṇo hataḥ śatrusenā ca palāyitā, tadā daśārhanandano bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇo ’rjunaṃ hṛdayena pariṣvajya mahāharṣeṇaivam uvāca—
Sanjaya said: O King, when Karna had been slain and the enemy host had broken and fled, the Blessed Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa—delight of the Daśārhas—embraced Arjuna to his heart and, filled with great joy, spoke to him in these words—.
