तदाहनिष्यत् केशव: कर्णमुग्रं मरुत्पतिर्वत्रमिवात्तवज्र: | “तुम अपना गाण्डीव धनुष भगवान् श्रीकृष्णको दे दो तथा रणभूमिमें स्वयं इनके सारथि बन जाओ। फिर जैसे इन्द्रने हाथमें वज्र लेकर वृत्रासुरका वध किया था
Translation
Sañjaya said: “Then Keshava will strike down the fierce Karṇa, as Indra, lord of the Maruts, raised the thunderbolt in his hand and slew Vṛtra. ‘Give your bow Gandiva to Lord Krishna, and on the battlefield become his charioteer yourself. Then, just as Indra, holding the thunderbolt, killed Vṛtrāsura, so will Krishna slay the dreadful hero Karṇa.’”
