Sañjaya said: Then Pārtha (Arjuna), that tiger among men, with arrows whose shafts were bent at the joints, struck down and shattered the son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s fourfold army.

The verse highlights the decisive power of disciplined martial excellence in a dharma-framed war, while implicitly pointing to the ethical weight of warfare: victory achieved through skill still entails vast destruction and responsibility.
Sañjaya reports that Arjuna (Pārtha) uses his arrows to devastate Duryodhana’s fourfold Kaurava army—chariots, elephants, cavalry, and infantry—marking a major surge in the battle’s intensity.
