Karna Reproves Shalya; Brahmin Reports on Bāhlīkas; Shalya’s Universalizing Rebuttal (कर्ण–शल्य संवादः)
एवं कृते कृतं साहां सर्वकामैर्भविष्यति
evaṃ kṛte kṛtaṃ sāhaṃ sarvakāmair bhaviṣyati | bhārata! tadāhaṃ saṅgrāme yat kiṃcid kariṣyāmi, tat tvaṃ svayaṃ drakṣyasi | yuddhasthale āgatān samastān pāṇḍavān niścayaṃ sarvathā jayiṣyāmi ||
Karna said: “If this is done, then I shall be fully supported in accordance with all my aims. O Bhārata, what I do in battle then, you will see with your own eyes. On the battlefield, I will surely overcome all the Pāṇḍavas who come before me, in every way.”
