क्रियतामेष कामो मे मा व: कालो>त्यगादयम् | शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले महाराज! मैं चाहता हूँ कि आपके द्वारा यही व्यवस्था हो जाय। मेरा यह मनोरथ पूर्ण किया जाय। अब आपलोगोंका यह समय व्यर्थ नहीं बीतना चाहिये
kriyatām eṣa kāmo me mā vaḥ kālo 'tyagād ayam |
Karna said: “Let this wish of mine be carried out. Let not this present time slip away from you in vain. O king who brings torment to enemies, I desire that you arrange matters exactly thus and fulfill my resolve.”
कर्ण उवाच
The verse stresses decisive action and the ethical urgency of seizing the right moment: a leader should not let time be wasted when a clear resolve and strategic necessity are at hand.
Karna addresses the king, pressing him to implement a specific arrangement or plan immediately, insisting that his intention be fulfilled and that the present opportunity not be allowed to pass.
