प्रहतरथनरा श्वकुञ्जरं प्रतिभयदर्शनमुल्बणव्रणम्‌ । तदहितहतमाबभौ बल॑ पितृपतिराष्ट्रमिव प्रजाक्षये

Translation

Sañjaya said: That host—once crowded with chariots, men, horses, and elephants—now, slain by the foe and marked with grievous, deep wounds, appeared most dreadful, like the realm of Yama at the time of dissolution, when the people are brought to ruin.
