Chapter 26: Śalya appointed as charioteer; Karṇa’s departure; portents
अभ्यर्दितस्तु तैर्जिष्णु: शक्रतुल्यपराक्रम:,इति श्रीमहाभारते कर्णपर्वणि संशप्तकजये सप्तविंशोध्याय:

Sañjaya said: Pressed hard by those warriors, Arjuna (Jishnu), whose prowess was equal to Indra's, stood his ground and fought on. Thus ends the twenty-seventh chapter in the Karna Parva of the Mahabharata, in the section concerning the victory over the Samsaptakas.
