संजय उवाच एवमुक्तो महाराज ततो दुर्योधनो नृप: । उत्तस्थौ राजभि: सार्धथ देवैरिव शतक्रतु:,संजय कहते हैं--महाराज! कर्णके ऐसा कहनेपर राजा दुर्योधन अन्य सामन्त नरेशोंके साथ उसी प्रकार उठकर खड़ा हो गया, जैसे देवताओंके साथ इन्द्र खड़े होते हैं

sañjaya uvāca evam ukto mahārāja tato duryodhano nṛpaḥ | uttasthau rājabhiḥ sārdhaṃ devair iva śatakratuḥ ||

Sanjaya said: “O great king, when Karna had spoken thus, King Duryodhana rose to his feet along with the other allied rulers—like Indra, lord of a hundred sacrifices, rising together with the gods.”
