Sañjaya said: “You alone among us are capable of securing victory—of this there is no doubt. In the beginning, in the middle, and even at the end, you have consistently acted for our welfare.”

The verse highlights the ethical ideal of leadership expressed as 'hita'—acting for the welfare of one’s side consistently (beginning, middle, end). It also shows how confidence and trust are rhetorically placed in a single capable figure, emphasizing responsibility and steadfast support.
Sañjaya reports a statement of assurance directed to a key ally/leader on the Kaurava side: he is declared uniquely capable of bringing victory, and is praised for having repeatedly worked for their benefit throughout the course of events.
