Then Arjuna, the mighty-armed, circumambulated Droṇa in reverence and withdrew. Turning back, Bībhatsu moved on while releasing volleys of arrows—maintaining the warrior’s duty in battle even as he observes the ethical restraint of honoring his revered teacher.

Even in the harshness of war, dharma includes gratitude and reverence toward one’s teacher; Arjuna balances respect (pradakṣiṇā to Droṇa) with his kṣatriya obligation to continue fighting.
Sañjaya narrates that Arjuna circumambulates Droṇa respectfully and then withdraws, turning and advancing while shooting arrows—signaling both deference to his guru and continued engagement in the battle.
