विव्याध चरणे द्रोणमनुमान्य विशाम्पते | क्षत्रधर्म समास्थाय नवभि: सायकै: पुन:,प्रजानाथ! उन्होंने द्रोणाचार्यका समादर करते हुए क्षत्रियधर्मका आश्रय ले पुनः नौ बाणोंद्वारा उनके चरणोंमें आघात किया

Transliteration

vivyādha caraṇe droṇam anumānya viśāmpate | kṣatradharma-samāsthāya navabhiḥ sāyakaiḥ punaḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: O lord of the people, honoring Droṇa, he nevertheless stood firm in the warrior’s code and again struck Droṇa’s feet with nine arrows.
