द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय ८७: सात्यकेरनुयात्रा
Sātyaki’s resolve and departure to reach Arjuna
द्रोणस्यासीदविरतो गृहे तं न शृणोम्यहम् । द्रोणाचार्यके घरमें निरन्तर धनुषकी प्रत्यंचाका घोष, वेदमन्त्रोंके उच्चारणकी ध्वनि तथा तोमर, तलवार एवं रथके शब्द गूँजते रहते थे; परंतु अब मैं वहाँ वहाँ वह शब्द नहीं सुन रहा हूँ
droṇasyāsīd avirato gṛhe taṁ na śṛṇomy aham |
Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “In Droṇa’s house there used to be an unceasing sound—of the bowstring’s twang and the recitation of Vedic mantras. The clamor of spears, swords, and chariots would also resound there. But now I no longer hear those sounds in that place.”
