भक्त्या स्तवेन दिव्येन महात्मानावनिन्दितो,भगवान् शंकरकी यह बात सुनकर अनिन्दित महात्मा परम बुद्धिमान् श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन हाथ जोड़कर खड़े हो गये और दिव्य स्तोत्रद्वारा भक्तिभावसे उन भगवान् शिवकी स्तुति करने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | bhaktyā staven divyena mahātmānāv aninditaḥ, bhagavān śaṅkara- | iyaṃ bāt sunakar anindita mahātmā paramabuddhimān śrīkṛṣṇa aur arjuna hātha joṛakar khaṛe ho gaye aur divya stotradvārā bhaktibhāv se un bhagavān śiv kī stuti karane lage |
Sañjaya said: Hearing these words concerning the Blessed Lord Śaṅkara, the blameless and great-souled, supremely wise Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna stood with hands joined and began to praise that Lord Śiva with a divine hymn, filled with devotion. The scene underscores that even amid war, reverence and humility before the divine remain a guiding ethic.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights that devotion and humility before the divine are integral to dharma, even in the midst of conflict. Great heroes do not rely solely on strength; they seek alignment with higher righteousness through reverent praise and prayer.
Sanjaya narrates that after hearing words about Lord Śiva (Śaṅkara), Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna stand with folded hands and begin to offer a divine hymn of praise to Śiva, signaling a turn toward seeking divine support and guidance during the war.
