Even amid the violence and uncertainty of war, the epic repeatedly frames events within a larger moral and cosmic order: divine radiance and auspicious presence signify that power is not merely martial but also spiritual, and that protection and authority ultimately rest with the divine.
Sañjaya reports a vision of Mahādeva (Śiva) seated with Pārvatī, attended by radiant hosts of bhūtas. The description emphasizes the deity’s overwhelming splendor and the awe-inspiring entourage that accompanies him.
