Sañjaya said: “You have duly studied the Vedas according to proper rule, offered the sacred fires with correct oblations, and performed worship through many sacrifices. Therefore death is no cause of terror for you. Your life has been aligned with sacred duty; thus even the inevitable end need not shake your resolve.”

A life grounded in disciplined learning (Veda-study) and properly performed duty (yajña and fire-rites) cultivates inner steadiness; thus one should meet death without moral panic, because one’s conduct has been aligned with dharma.
Sañjaya addresses a warrior-figure in the Drona Parva’s battle setting, affirming that the person’s long practice of Vedic study and sacrificial duties has prepared them to face the crisis of war and the prospect of death without fear.
