धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणरथारोহণं सात्यकेः प्रतिरक्षणं च | Dhrishtadyumna Boards Droṇa’s Chariot; Sātyaki’s Counter-Protection
निगृहा वासुदेवस्तं पुत्राधिभिरभिप्लुतम् । मैवमित्यब्रवीत् कृष्णस्तीव्रशोकसमन्वितम्,संजय कहते हैं--महाराज! इस प्रकार अर्जुनको पुत्रशोकसे पीड़ित और उसीका चिन्तन करते हुए नेत्रोंसे आँसू बहाते देख भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने उन्हें पकड़कर सँभाला। वे पुत्रवियोगके कारण होनेवाली गहरी मनोव्यथामें डूबे हुए थे और तीव्र शोक उन्हें संतप्त कर रहा था। भगवान् बोले--'मित्र! ऐसे व्याकूुल न होओ
nigṛhya vāsudevas taṁ putrādhībhiḥ abhiplutam | māivam ity abravīt kṛṣṇas tīvraśokasamanvitam ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing Arjuna overwhelmed by grief for his son—his mind flooded by that sorrow and his eyes streaming with tears—Vāsudeva Kṛṣṇa took hold of him and steadied him. Arjuna, sunk in the deep anguish born of separation, was burning with intense lamentation. Kṛṣṇa spoke to restrain him: “Friend, do not be so distraught.”
