धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणरथारोহণं सात्यकेः प्रतिरक्षणं च | Dhrishtadyumna Boards Droṇa’s Chariot; Sātyaki’s Counter-Protection

महोत्साहं महाबाहुं दीर्घधाजीवलोचनम्‌ । भक्तानुकम्पिनं दान्तं न च नीचानुसारिणम्‌

Transliteration

mahotsāhaṁ mahābāhuṁ dīrghadhājīvalocanam | bhaktānukampinaṁ dāntaṁ na ca nīcānusāriṇam ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: “He was of great resolve, mighty-armed, and long-bannered, with eyes full of life. Compassionate toward the devoted and self-controlled, he would never stoop to follow the ways of the base.”
