न हि कर्ण रणे दृष्टवा युधि स्थास्यन्ति पाण्डवा: । हर्षमें भरे हुए बहुत-से योद्धा वहाँ वेगपूर्वक बोल उठे--“इस रणक्षेत्रमें कर्णको उपस्थित देख पाण्डवलोग ठहर नही सकेंगे

na hi karṇa raṇe dṛṣṭvā yudhi sthāsyanti pāṇḍavāḥ |

Sañjaya said: “Indeed, upon seeing Karṇa present in battle, the Pāṇḍavas will not be able to hold their ground in the fight.” The cry rose from many warriors in high spirits, reflecting their swelling confidence and martial pride.
