Educational Q&A

Power and victory are ethically framed as incomplete unless followed by śāstra-guided conduct; the ruler’s success is validated through disciplined, rule-bound yajña rather than mere domination.

Nārada describes a figure who first subdues opponents and conquers the earth, and then performs a hundred properly conducted sacrifices in accordance with scriptural injunctions, addressing the listener as “anagha” (blameless).
