Sañjaya said: Eager to achieve their aim, the warriors—having their forces drawn up in ordered battle-array and ready to strike—rushed forward together. In the unfolding crisis around Abhimanyu, the Pāṇḍava champions and their allies surge ahead with disciplined intent, driven by duty to protect their own and to break through the enemy’s formation, even at grave risk.

The verse highlights disciplined action in crisis: warriors do not rush blindly, but advance with forces properly arrayed, combining courage with order. Ethically, it reflects kṣatriya-dharma—acting decisively to protect one’s side and pursue a just objective, even under peril.
Sañjaya reports that the fighters, intent on their goal, charge forward with their troops organized in battle formation, prepared to strike. In the broader episode of Droṇa Parva, this aligns with the urgent movement of Pāṇḍava-aligned warriors attempting to press into or counter a formidable enemy formation during the Abhimanyu crisis.
