Sañjaya said: O King, the five Pāṇḍavas—together with Kṛṣṇa—are unconquerable even for the gods. On the battlefield they perform deeds of terrible intensity; and through those very deeds their exertion becomes manifest.
संजय उवाच
Mere power is not the only measure in war: steadfast resolve, righteous purpose, and wise/divine guidance (here symbolized by Kṛṣṇa’s presence) make the Pāṇḍavas ‘hard to assail’ even for superhuman opponents.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, praising the battlefield prowess of the Pāṇḍavas along with Kṛṣṇa, setting the tone for the coming account of intense fighting and strategic formations in Droṇa Parva.
