त॑ वासवमिवायान्तं भूरिवर्ष शरौघधिणम्‌ | राजंस्तावकसैन्यानां नोग्रं कश्चिदवारयत्‌,राजन! इसके बाद वे इन्द्रके समान बाण-समूहोंकी भारी वर्षा करते हुए जब आपकी सेनापर आक्रमण करने लगे, उस समय आपके सैनिकोंमेंसे कोई भी उन उमग्ररूपधारी अर्जुनको रोक न सका

taṁ vāsavam ivāyāntaṁ bhūrivarṣa-śaraugha-dhiṇam | rājan tāvaka-sainyānāṁ na ugraṁ kaścid avārayat ||

Sañjaya said: “O King, when he advanced like Vāsava (Indra), pouring down a dense rain of volleys of arrows and launching his assault upon your army, not a single one among your troops could check that fierce Arjuna.”
