Sañjaya said: “O sinless one, he is capable of enduring the blows of weapons and even the touch of fire. Today, he alone will destroy the entire strength of the Pāṇḍavas.”

The verse illustrates how war-narratives employ praise of a warrior’s endurance to inspire confidence and intimidate the opponent; ethically, it highlights the tension between heroic valor and the grim reality of total destruction being spoken of as a goal.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that a particular warrior (referred to as “he”) is so formidable—able to withstand weapon-strikes and even fire—that he is expected to annihilate the Pāṇḍavas’ forces single-handedly that very day.
