द्रोणस्तु शरवर्षेण च्छाद्यमानो महारथ: । वेग॑ चक्रे महावेग: क्रोधादुद्वृत्य चक्षुषी,इस प्रकार बाण-वर्षासे आच्छादित होनेपर महान् वेगशाली महारथी द्रोणने क्रोधसे आँखें फाड़कर देखते हुए अपना विशेष वेग प्रकट किया
droṇas tu śaravarṣeṇa cchādyamāno mahārathaḥ | vegaṃ cakre mahāvegaḥ krodhād udvṛtya cakṣuṣī ||
Sañjaya said: Though covered by a shower of arrows, Droṇa—the great chariot-warrior—roused himself to a still greater speed; in wrath, with eyes widened, he displayed a fierce surge of power.
