वायसाश्चापि चाक्रन्दन्‌ दिक्षु सर्वासु भैरवम्‌ । रुधिरं चापि वर्षन्तो विनेदुस्तोयदा दिवि,कौए सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें काँव-काँव करके भयानक कोलाहल मचाने लगे तथा मेघ रक्तकी वर्षा करते हुए आकाशमें गरजने लगे

vāyasāś cāpi cākrandan dikṣu sarvāsu bhairavam | rudhiraṃ cāpi varṣanto vinedus toyadā divi ||

Sañjaya said: “Crows, too, began to cry out dreadfully in every direction; and the rain-clouds, as though pouring down blood, roared in the sky.”
