द्रौणिं संछादयामासुर्घनौधा इव भास्करम्‌ | जैसे मेघोंकी घटाएँ सूर्यको ढक लेती हैं, उसी प्रकार भीमसेनके नामसे अंकित और सानपर चढ़ाकर तेज किये हुए सुनहरी पाँखवाले बाणोंने द्रोणपुत्रकों आच्छादित कर दिया

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | drauṇiṁ saṁchādayāmāsur ghanaughā iva bhāskaram |

Translation

Sañjaya said: As dense masses of clouds veil the sun, so did the arrows—golden-feathered, whetted on the sharpening stone and marked with Bhīmasena’s name—completely cover Droṇa’s son.
