Shloka 118

तथा दौणिर्महाराज शरान्‌ हेमविभूषितान्‌ । तैलथधौतानू्‌ प्रसन्नाग्रान्‌ प्राहिणोद्‌ वधकाड्क्षया,महाराज! तदनन्तर अअभ्वत्थामाने भीमसेनके वधकी इच्छासे तेलमें साफ किये हुए स्वच्छ अग्रभागवाले बहुत-से स्वर्णभूषित बाण चलाये

tathā dauṇir mahārāja śarān hemavibhūṣitān | tailadhautān prasannāgrān prāhiṇod vadhakāṅkṣayā mahārāja ||

Sañjaya said: Then, O King, Droṇa’s son (Aśvatthāmā), intent on killing, discharged many arrows adorned with gold—oiled and carefully cleansed, their points bright and keen. The verse shows how, in war’s heat, intent shapes deed, and how skill and preparation can become instruments of destructive resolve.
