Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that true martial excellence is not only raw strength (bala) but also inner energy (vīrya), effective presence (prabhāva), and unwavering determination (vyavasāya). In a dharmic frame, resolve and disciplined effort are portrayed as essential virtues alongside power.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra what was seen on the battlefield: Bhīmasena’s extraordinary performance—his valor and the qualities that make him formidable—during the events of the Droṇa Parva.
