अनिष्टदर्शनं दृष्टवा धृष्टद्युम्नमवस्थितम् | क्षणेनैवाभवद् द्रोणो नातिहृष्टमना इव,जिसका दर्शन अनिष्टका सूचक था, उस धृष्टद्युम्नको सामने खड़ा देख द्रोणाचार्य क्षणभरमें अत्यन्त अप्रसन्न और उदास हो गये
aniṣṭadarśanaṃ dṛṣṭvā dhṛṣṭadyumnam avasthitam | kṣaṇenaivābhavad droṇo nātihṛṣṭamanā iva ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing Dhṛṣṭadyumna standing before him—an apparition whose very sight portended misfortune—Droṇa, in that very instant, became as one whose heart was no longer glad, sinking into visible displeasure and gloom.
