Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined focus (samāhita) and steadfast execution of one’s warrior-duty in a justly ordered battle context: skill and composure are as decisive as strength, and the roar signifies unwavering resolve rather than mere rage.

Bhīma (Vṛkodara) targets Karṇa, draws his bow fully, and hits him with three bhalla-arrows on both arms and the chest; immediately afterward, Bhīma roars loudly as a battle-cry, intensifying the duel’s pressure.
