Even in the most violent human conflict, time and cosmic order (marked by the Sun and saṁdhyā) proceed inexorably; this underscores the ethical pressure on warriors to act within dharma despite the chaos of battle.
Bhima describes a fiercely entangled, close combat that has become extremely dreadful; at the same time, the moment of saṁdhyā arrives and the Sun’s appearance/position changes swiftly, signaling a sudden shift in the time of day amid ongoing fighting.
