एवं कृत्वा रणे कर्ण आरुरोह रथं पुन: । ततो मुमोच नाराचान् सूतपुत्र: परंतप,रणभूमिमें ऐसा पराक्रम करके कर्ण पुनः अपने रथपर आ बैठा। शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले नरेश! फिर सूतपुत्र कर्ण नाराचोंकी वर्षा करने लगा
evaṁ kṛtvā raṇe karṇa ārurōha rathaṁ punaḥ | tato mumoca nārācān sūtaputraḥ parantapa ||
Sañjaya said: Having thus displayed his prowess in the battle, Karṇa mounted his chariot again. Then the charioteer’s son, a scorcher of foes, released a volley of nārāca arrows.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya-warrior ideal of persistence and renewed effort: after a feat in battle, Karṇa immediately resumes his duty as a fighter, pressing the conflict through disciplined, forceful action rather than hesitation.
Sañjaya narrates that Karṇa, after performing a notable act of valor on the battlefield, climbs back onto his chariot and begins shooting nārāca arrows in a sustained volley, intensifying the battle.
