तथा संयुध्यमानानां विगाढासीन्महानिशा । पाण्डवानां च राजेन्द्र कौरवाणां च सर्वश:,राजेन्द्र! इस प्रकार युद्धमें लगे हुए पाण्डवों और कौरवोंकी वह महारात्रि सर्वथा प्रगाढ़ हो चली
tathā saṃyudhyamānānāṃ vigāḍhāsīn mahāniśā | pāṇḍavānāṃ ca rājendra kauravāṇāṃ ca sarvaśaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: As they continued to fight, O king, the great night grew utterly dense—enveloping both the Pāṇḍavas and the Kauravas on every side.
