स सम्प्रहारस्तुमुलो निशि प्रत्यभवन्महान् । यथा सागरयो राजंश्नन्द्रोदयविवृद्धयो:,राजन! उस रात्रिमें चन्द्रोदयकालमें उमड़े हुए दो महासागरोंके सदृश उन दोनों दलोंका वह महान् संग्राम अत्यन्त भयंकर प्रतीत होता था
sa samprahāras tumulo niśi pratyabhavan mahān | yathā sāgarayor rājan candrodayavivṛddhayoḥ ||
Sañjaya said: That clash became immense and tumultuous in the night. O King, it appeared exceedingly dreadful—like two great oceans swelling at moonrise—so did the battle between the two armies surge and roar.
