येन साक्षान्महादेवो योधित: समरे पुरा । तमिच्छसि वृथा जेतुं सूताधम मनोरथै:,सूताधम! जिन्होंने समरांगणमें पहले साक्षात् महादेवजीके साथ युद्ध किया है, उन्हें केवल मनोरथोंद्वारा जीतनेकी तू व्यर्थ इच्छा प्रकट कर रहा है
yena sākṣān mahādevo yodhitaḥ samare purā | tam icchasi vṛthā jetuṃ sūtādhama manorathaiḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “He who once fought face to face with Mahādeva himself in battle—him you vainly wish to conquer by mere daydreams and empty schemes, O lowest of charioteers.”
