piprīṣus tava putrāṇāṁ saṅgrāmeṣv aparājitaḥ | sāyakaughena balavān kṣiprakārī mahābalaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “Eager to please your sons, unconquered in battles, mighty with a torrent of arrows, swift in action, and of great strength.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how martial excellence—invincibility, speed, and overwhelming force—can be driven by loyalty and the desire to please one’s patrons; it implicitly invites reflection on how personal allegiance shapes the use of power in war.
Sañjaya describes a formidable warrior on the Kaurava side, emphasizing his motivation to gratify Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons and his battlefield qualities: undefeated, swift, and capable of showering enemies with masses of arrows.
