Sañjaya said: “Here I see no fault in the warriors, standing at the very forefront of battle.”

The line frames a key ethical stance in epic warfare: when warriors act according to their kṣatriya-duty in open battle, blame is not automatically assigned to their courage or battlefield conduct; moral fault must be judged by intention, justice of cause, and adherence to rules, not merely by the fact of fighting.
Sanjaya, narrating the events of the Kurukṣetra war, comments that he finds no blame in the heroes who are positioned at the very front of the fighting—emphasizing their valor and the accepted martial code of meeting battle directly.
