Sañjaya said: Having reached Jayarāta’s chariot, the mighty son of Pāṇḍu roared again and again like a lion. In the rush of battle, after striking down Dhruva, Bhīmasena pressed on to the enemy’s foremost line, proclaiming fearless resolve and the Pāṇḍavas’ unbroken will amid the demands of righteous warfare.

The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in wartime: steadfast courage, forward movement after fulfilling a martial duty, and the psychological dimension of battle where a warrior’s lion-like roar asserts resolve and deters opponents while upholding one’s side in a righteous cause.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma, after killing Dhruva, advances to Jayarāta’s chariot and repeatedly roars like a lion, signaling dominance and challenging the enemy at close quarters.
