भौमं॑ रजो<थ राजेन्द्र शोणितेन प्रणाशितम्‌

Transliteration

bhaumaṃ rajo ’tha rājendra śoṇitena praṇāśitam

Translation

Sañjaya said: “Then, O king of kings, the earth-born dust was obliterated by blood—so thickly did gore spread over the ground that the very haze of battle-dust disappeared.”
