(Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa

With a single bow, Sātyaki vanquished by the hundreds the foremost bulls among the Kṣatriyas—Aśvatthāmā, Kṛtavarmā, and other great chariot-warriors—along with many a crown-jewel of the warrior race. Sātyaki sought to do what was dear to Dharmarāja, and to win victory even in the world beyond.
